Artefacts v.s Antiques

An artefact is an object made by humans and is important because it is of historical interest. They are likely to be observed by scientific investigation. Examples of artefacts include stone tools, pottery vessels, metal objects such as weapons, and items of personal adornment such as buttons, jewellery and clothing. Although you may think artefacts are mainly in museums there are found in family homes. On the other hand, antiques are old objects that are similar to family heirlooms, for example clocks, wooden chests, Jewellery and many many more. Antiques and artefacts are quite similar, but in my own opinion antiques are more important because they are of more sentimental value.
